Does a Moderator Alert automagically hide the question until the MA has been processed?

Need to get this answered in order to make sure I am telling people correctly when an MA is used to get attention to the question. A second point is how to handle such alerts. I simply reject them with a private comment to the poster.

So I am also doing this incognito, but SSO automatically logged me in anyway? What the heck? So I checked on my personal laptop and it is indeed visible without being logged in.

And the answer is, no it does not hide the question. Not a particularly desirable trait in my opinion, but invite others to post their thoughts. Please leave the Question in the Moderator Queue for the time being.

Not a 100% certain on this one Michael, but I believe a certain No. of Alerts automatically hide a post. moshe.naveh2 would be able to clarify further.

So it's two for blogs and we don't have this functionality for Q&A but we do have pre-moderation for Q&A.

michael.appleby How critical do you think it is? I guess we will discuss this in the open mic section
