But luckily theres hope. ABAP/4 is feeling the heat of saturation has come up with ABAP/5.

In some sense we will see a saturation in SAP R/3 skills since something called R/3 was last delivered in 2003. I leave it to your skill set to find out what the name of the product(s) today is

Swamy, If you keep updating your skill in ABAP, then you are always in the race, otherwise forget it. It is not one time learning experience, but life time. So, there is no saturation of knowledge and ABAP's demand, there is only updation of ABAP advanced concepts that come into market that is very important.
