Hey,

the account nicknames are meant to help you to tell the S-Users apart. You are free to choose whatever nickname you want for each S-User. But don't have to set one either.

The screenshot you shared is not about the UID account nicknames but the user name that will be displayed at SAP.com for your Universal ID. At SAP.com you will have one public profile no matter what S-User you are using moving forward.

Dear Sebastian,

Currently I have multiple niscknames for one universal id.

in my universal id I have multiple s users, but at the end I want to post with same username @hismayilov. bu currently I am owner of @ hismayilov1 and @ huseyn.ismayilov

So what is purpose of universal ID?

Hey,

the purpose of Universal ID is to aggregate all SAP accounts of a single human being under one identity. So that each of us can access different services in different contexts without having to use multiple login ids and passwords. And can manage all those accounts with ease. You can read more about the motivation on the Universal ID info page.

However, some SAP services are transitioning between fully embracing Universal ID and utilizing the old account-based identity service. Hence, you sometimes log in with Universal ID but then have to pick one of the linked accounts to use at every service.

Long-term your accounts' content will be consolidated into one view at each service. So you can access all of your content at once without having to log out and log in. Due to the complex nature of the related systems, this transition process is not a matter of days but months. Please bear with us and have a bit of patience.

SAP community already offers the merge tool to consolidate all your community content under your UID. Similar functionalities should be available for other SAP services soon.

Best,
Sebastian
