DMS Classifiaction tab mandatory & increase the length of characteristics

Hello Friends,

                     I am working on DMS module. In CV02N T-code their is classification tab, We are using this tab for to add comments.

after clicking on classification tab system ask for Class & Characteristics. But client requirement is this classification should be mandatory & increase the characteristics length.

pls revert me if you have solution for this.
