disp+work.exe not running and unable to open RFC connection during installation ; R3 472

Hi All,

I am new to this forum and also to the installations. I have been trying to install R/3 472 on Windows and MSS. I am now stuck in the installation where I am being asked to enter password for DDIC but the one that I have given in the past phases of installation. Moreover, I tried to do a work around as suggested in some forum.. to login to SAP and changes the DDIC password. But my disp+work.exe is in stopped status when checked in SAP MMC.

Can I get some help on this

Hi Laxmi,

Correct me if I am wrong, You have been prompted to enter the DDIC Password during the installation of your SAP System. I assume that you are performing s system copy and not a fresh Installation.

If it is a system copy, then please enter the DDIC password of your Source system.

Could you also paste Installation logs from sapinst_instdir directory.

Hi Renu,

This is a fresh installation that I am doing. I checked the logs and this log is for the error.

:2704 ======> Connect to SAP gateway failed

Connect_PM  TPNAME=IGS.E47, GWHOST=vmw5505, GWSERV=3300
