This is neither a bug report nor a feedback at this point - merely questions.
1. The new function for Q&A search from https://answers.sap.com/
Search criteria: VOV7
Number of results: 15 (the BBB 'Show more' did not display additional results in IE11, Firefox ESR 45.2.0 and TOR 6.0.1)
2. The same criteria, this time from https://onedx.find.sap.com/landing
Number of results: 37 (30 SAP Archive, 7 Blogs)
3. Search from discussions archive https://archive.sap.com/discussions
Search criteria: VOV7
Number of results: 30
I can understand the results from 2. and 3. (there is no separate search for blogs and all these results were from old discussions), but the numbers from 1. don't make sense.
I get the same results no matter if I am logged in or not and this does not appear to be browser-dependent.
Question 1:
What is the idea behind the search in case 1 - how this selection works?
Question 2:
Why do we need several search options for the same site, which produce different results?
I can't see how this benefits the end user, so it must be to overcome some technical limitation, right?
Can anybody explain in more details, so that people can figure out which one works best in different scenarios?
My point is: many people, posting in SCN, have difficulties using search engines even now - when they have find.sap.com and the custom google search.
With the new platform this gets even more confusing, because people often claim that they have searched the forum before posting a FAQ and found no results, but with the new SCN they could just be using the wrong search option.

Thanks for reporting this.
What is appearing on answers.sap.com is through an API call to search. I'm trying to pinpoint where the other 15 results are getting lost.
I did compare both lists and the 15 are common to both result sets, which is good. I could not determine any common reason why half are missing on answers.sap.com (e.g. age, keyword placement, etc).
: Please notify community platform of the same to ensure the implementation is ok on answers.sap.com.
