We've just installed Crystal Server 2013 on a single Windows server. During the installation we selected Full installation, default database, and the bundled Tomcat Java web application server. I'm able to use "Remote Desktop Connection" to connect to this new server and on the server I'm able to logon to both CMC and BI.
However, when I use a browser (IE or Firefox) from my local workstation I'm not able to get the logon window for either CMC or BI. I'm getting the connection has timed out message. I've tried the http://ServerName:6400/BOE/BI and http://ServerName:6400/BOE/CMC.
So far, I've tried using the wdeploy utility to undeploy Tomcat, used the wdeploy utility to redeploy Tomcat, and then rebooted the Crystal Server 2013. No change, I'm still unable to connect using the browser on my local workstation.
Also, I've checked and the Window's Firewall is turned off on the Crystal Server. Our Network folks tell me that they are not blocking any ports from this server.
Please let me know if you have a next step to recommend.
Appreciate It,
Carolyn

Hi, Carolyn,
Would you mind sharing what you did to resolve the connection issue? We have just also installed Crystal Server 2013 on a Windows server as a single node, using the Web Tier install option...assuming that would expose the applications as web accessible (CMC, etc.). However, when we try to connect using the http://ServerName:8080/BOE/CMC URL we get "Page can not be displayed."
Thanks for sharing whatever you can!
Judie

Hi Again, Earlier, I forgot to share that I'm using the http://ServerName:8080/BOE/BI url. Carolyn
