Hi Team,
I answered a "correct " and a "helpful" answer for two different question. however, only the helpful "points +5" is reflected in my overall points.
I know points are not everything, but i have set myself milestone for the year on (no of points), so please help me achieve the missed +10 points.
Thanks,
Tashi
Request clarification before answering.
you shouldn't set/accept goals that totally depend on the generosity and responsiveness of others.
Even the points are the easiest way to measure it, It is currently only a minority who are closing their questions as expected.
Measure your happiness, e.g. number of days where you was able to help somebody, number of answers where you were proud on your answer because it solved a real challenging issue. Number of likes given by others than the questioner himself.
These goals on point have already (especially towards years end) caused some negative spin-offs which finally led to zero points and a lost user-id. I don't want to describe this in more detail to avoid giving examples to some weak folks which might think they can do it smarter than those who got caught

Hi Tashi
but i have set myself milestone for the year on
Is this a personal milestone or have you set this as an employment objective?

The original question that was posted was how to search for a pattern in ABAP. This is very basic abap programming, so I rejected the question. When I rejected the question, I removed your 10 points, and locked the thread, on the grounds that telling the questioner to use CP and giving him a link to the documentation wasn't really something worthy of 10 points.
Unfortunately, only the poster of the question is notified.

I've reported your 5 point answer as well, since you posted just a link. It's not in an area I moderated, so I can't reject it myself.
Posting just links adds no value to the site. It also indicates that the person who posted the question could have searched and found the answer themselves. If you post just a link, or a bunch of links in the areas I moderate, they will be rejected and any points accrued will be removed.
On the plus side, I liked one of your documents.
Dear Tashi,
1. If someone feel your answer is correct & thread will be marked by correct answer based on you replied, Then you will get 10 marks by clicking on correct answer.
2. Who has marked correct answer on you replied If same person again unmarked which was earlier marked correct answer then again you will lose those 10 marks by again Un checking.
3. Frequently this will be happened in SCN, For more clarification you may check by clicking on your points --> and More.

Hi Tashi
I had a quick check in your profile. The question was marked as correct and was unmarked again.
You could get the complete details if you look into your reputation tab -> expertise -> ABAP development. Click on it, you will get a flip symbol at the bottom.
Flip it, you will see that the question was marked as correct and again being unmarked.

Karthik

Hi Tarshi,
One of the correct answer which you replied at ABAP forum thread/discussion might be removed from public view.
so that 10 points were not added to your total points.
You can go your profile-->reputation tab, left side click on Expertise--> go to abap forum and click on gear/flip symbol, it may shows - 10 which are removed.
So there is no issue with your id or scn. your 10 points might be removed by moderator.
You may answered to basic question or already discussed question.
Thanks
