Copy Entire Package ??

Hi Folks,

Is it possible to copy an entire standard Package to a Z-package with all corresponding Z-objects in it ??

We have developed a new functionality for the customer. The request has already been released.

But the team doesnt want to deliver this functionality now. So we are deleting the standard objects and package in developement system but nevertheless wants to keep a copy of this functionality.

So I am supposed to copy all the programs, data elemnts , screens which are there in the package in Z-Range objects . But copying them one by one would take me hours .

Any way to copy the entire set of objects(package) into Z-Range Objects ??

Yup .. it is Enhancement Package 4 (604 release) ..

Even I dont know why its called downport to EhP4 ... Suprisingly the objects are copied from ERP 2005s release which never reached the customners ...For some "Not to be told" reason... For any more answers to this plz contact Gerhard Oswald ..

But i wouldnt get my objects in Z-range which is one of my main motives !!!

Why is it important to have these objects in a Z-range?

It is because the original system will be deleted soon from the server. Hence we would require a back up of that functionality somewhere. Since its already downported to EhP4 , we thought its better to keep it here as Z-Objects.

hey,

you better ask Aditya. Her or she already downported something to EHP4.

I assumed it was ERP 6.0, E n h ancement P ackage 4, the one not yet released. To downport to that release you need to be at some successor of EHP4, maybe EHP5? That's why I was asking

Yeah, and food for a nice flamewar too: "I asked about copy, not paste!"

Hi Aditya,

Could you not just keep a backup by writing a transport entry for all objects in the package in SE80?

Hello Aditya,

I'm sure, if you post the question on the ABAP forum, some point-**** will cut and paste the enitre contents of any package into a response.

The only packages in the Coffee Corner, are, naturally enough, packages of coffee, and other sundry supplies. To the best of my knowledge, these are not copiable.

Try the ABAP forum.
