Hi,
I work for the VDC TIP KM doc team. I have to do a lot of work on http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-25474/ right now, but I constantly get page crashes and server timeouts and the following error message after I click Edit.
The proxy server did not receive a timely response from the upstream server.

Please advise!

Request clarification before answering.
Looks like an issue with proxy server settings.
Try doing edit from a computer with direct internet connection, or copy proxy server settings from a colleague who is able to do edits successfully.

Manish,
I appreciate the input, but I've got no way around this. I work remotely, and I VPN into the corporate network to perform all my duties. Having said this, my colleagues in the Vancouver office are experiencing similar server load and slowdown issues. Is there anything else I could try?
Thanks,

I am using latest Firefox browser and it has web console feature that is activated using keyboard shortcut Ctrl Shift K or menu option.
After console is opened, the slow web page can be reloaded to see which http request are slowest.
Console entries are something like this:
[13:39:04.263] GET http://scn.sap.com/thread/3374593 [HTTP/1.1 200 OK 2071ms]
[13:39:11.917] GET http://scn.sap.com/__services/v2/rest/browserEvents/1371197342922?e=activityStream.poll [HTTP/1.1 200 OK 662ms]
The console log can be sent to team maintaining the VPN or proxy server to see where the problem is.
Your document has an interesting layout. Just to be sure that document complexity is not the reason for slowness, try editing a fresh document and see if same timeout occurs.
Also try using another browser.
