Hi,
When I tried to maintain "Your profile -> Company Information" there is no place to put country. It enables to fill in Street, City, State, Postal Code but it is only US.

Now it looks good but it was not like this earlier - the page was different (though still I navigated there from beta SCN). There was something like a separate tab to maintain Company data. Unfortunatelly I didn't make a screenshot and now I can't navigate back. Maybe there was a change in beta version lately? Now I can see that my profile settings looks exactly as the one you pasted above. In this one there is no issue with country, so maybe it is not there at all (or maybe only when you fill up the original data, first time? ).

OK, I think I know what happened, and I don't think it is a bug neither in old or new SCN.
I navigated from New SCN , My profile to "Manage your newsletters" and there I came back to My profile:
The Country is there... but on the top and I didn't see it when I maintained data. When you scroll down, there are company data and even if Country is blank the default is US. It is not a bug in new SCN I guess. maybe just link inconsistancy to go through "newsletters" to old SCN profile?
