Learn SCM. MDM and BI, I hate them! SCM is for those wanting to get work done. MDM and BI are for them lazy folks.

Really are you serious, or do you just like being mean? This person should choose a career in SCM simply because you like it? A little full of yourself aren't you?
MDM and BI are for them lazy folks? I find that quite rude, as I know many talented, hard working people who have specialized in each of these areas. Whatever your personal feelings about the state of the software in either area, it simply is uncalled for to insult the people who work in those areas.
Son, I do not intend to be mean. Honestay is sometimes mistaken for rudeness. SCM is the most important part of any business, that is my point. And indeed, MDM and BI are the best ways to burn a company's money. I must admit, that maybe some decent people work in those areas, but in consequence, they work not efficient.
This analysis is based on some 20+ years SAP, not on feelings!
@Christian
So you see absolutely no way in which MDM and/or BI can benefit SCM ? Streamline? Efficiency? Maybe even in some cases lead to more proactive decisions? Hmmmm, odd. But I guess you have the 20+ years to back it up, so I need not question you eh?
Here's some rope, Christian. Have fun!

By the same token honesty is sometimes used as an excuse to be rude.
Let me offer you just a little bit of advice. You can choose to take it or ignore it - makes no difference to me. I've seen quite a few of your postings here on SDN. I don't doubt that you have some good knowledge and experience to share, particularly in your area of passion - SCM. That's great. But my honest feedback is that you are being rude. Not just in my opinion, but there are many others in the community that share this assesment. Calling people lazy is hardly a way to get your point across - and that's just one example.
I'm sure you have lots of excuses for the way you come across. Perhaps it is honesty or sage experience. You know what, it doesn't matter. If you continue in such a way, the community is simply going to to learn to ignore you. The experience and feedback that you have to share will have no impact because of the way in which it was delivered.
