Can't understand reason for SDN Forum points being deducted

Hi,
    I am observing this new behaviour since about

2-3 months. Every time I answer a thread or

respond to someone's queries, they award points.

But instead of points being added to my total

contribution points, nearly double the amount of

points are being deducted from my total

contribution points. This is some what

discouraging to me. Can I know reason for this

kind of behaviour or is there any mistake from

myside ? Initially, I thought that it might be

because I am not actively participating in the SDN

forum's that I am loosing my points. But later,

even after contributing atleast 2-3days a week, I

am still facing this point deduction behaviour.

Please suggest me a solution or I will have to

stop contributing.

Essentially, every time the points engine runs, it also checks if any points need to be retired (i.e. were earned over 12 months ago).  However, you're lifetime points continues to increase.

I hope you're not anticipating I'll would call you with this info
