I want to know the basics time period required during activity( work process running ) in sap basis module .
And whats the effect on system performance if it take more time than defined.
Request clarification before answering.
Hi Sufiyan!
Once i got surprising myself with the same doubt, What are the best system response times, Unfortunately, SAP Does not provide a substancial information about that subject, once i got the following answer from a SAP Employee:
- It depends from system to system....
I use to monitor my system environments on a daily basis, and the Thresholds values i have adopted as "Best performance" was the same provided by "Mr Rajendra Modieem".
I Would advice you to monitor your system based on such Thresholds, and after a while, you should re-evaluate your system to check whether or not this values are trustfull or not, for example...
Your Dialog system responses are taking up more than 1.500 ms and you are noticing bottlenecks on your system, than you can determine that 1.500ms is too high.
Unfortunately this is the response i got, and that is the hint i have to offer

Hi ,
Hope you are doing good.
As others said, check /nST03N, /nSTAD and /nST12.
These Tcodes have all the info you need.

Hi Sufiyan,
Hope you are doing good.
Do a complete restart of the server and check the below logs:
/usr/sap/<SID>/JC<nr>/work/dev*, std*, jvm*, deploy* files
/usr/sap/<SID>/JC<nr>/j2ee/cluster/server0/logs/default trace (latest).
/usr/sap/<SID>/JC<nr>/j2ee/cluster/dispatcher/logs/default trace(latest)
It would be a good idea to close this thread and open another one in the netweaver administrator forum as this is is a netweaver issue.
