Hello SAP Community Team,
unfortunately the bad behaviour of hiding content continues also in the SAP Community Groups. Yesterday I've received a notification mail that a comment was posted to a Groups discussion. It included this link:
unfortunately it opens only the original post not directly the comment. What I need to do is scroll down to the answer and notice that there is a little (1) beside Comments:
In addition I tried the Bookmark functionality for this comment:
After some search I even was able to find at:
https://groups.community.sap.com/t5/user/myprofilepage/tab/user-subscriptions:bookmark-subscriptions
the page where the bookmarks are stored. The link provided made me optimistic that it would point actually to the comment. But if you try:
you will see that again only the post is shown. I hope that this is not an issue with the Groups platform itself but with the configuration that is currently applied.
Best Regards
Gregor
Thank you gregor.wolf for the additional detail. I will look at the configuration and see if it makes sense to unhide comments by default, to avoid the confusing experience. It may also be a user-specific preference you can override, I will check and let you know.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Already here in the Q&A hiding comments was always and still is a bad idea. What should be achieved by hiding the comment? Save bandwith?
Hi gregorwolf , Our Khoros support team cannot replicate this, nor can I on Chrome and Edge on Windows.
Can you try this link, also a book mark link from the same post I generated. Let me know if you land where expected. It dropped me to the comment as expected.

Dear Caroleigh,
I think I've tracked down the issue further. I've now created bookmarks from the second message:
and from the comments:
https://groups.community.sap.com/t5/sap-btp-learning-q-a/re-link-sap-btp-process-automation-to-launc...
https://groups.community.sap.com/t5/sap-btp-learning-q-a/re-link-sap-btp-process-automation-to-launc...
The link to the message works and also opens the comments. The Links to the comments do only open the message and keep the comments closed.
Best Regards
Gregor
You covered everything but my setup:) On Windows Chrome, when I bookmarked the comment, it worked as expected. I'll check Edge tomorrow and open a ticket with the OS / browser details. Thank you.

Hi Gregor, thanks for bringing this to our attention. I will open a ticket to have it investigated. Since the comment ID is in the URL, I have the same expectation that it should go directly to the comment.
