Bug: 404 when clicking own name in activity steam

Hello everyone,

not sure if this bug has been reported before, but on a quick glance I didn't find it on the known-bugs list:

I just tried to access my profile by clicking my name in the activity steam and ended up on a 404 page. It works when clicking on other users, though.

Best regards

Dominik

Hello Dominik,

We apologize that you are experiencing this bug. I just tried to re-create the case you described. I tried accessing my Universal Profile by clicking on an entry with my Name in my Activity Stream. However, I was redirected to my Universal Profile as expected without getting any errors. Could you kindly elaborate further? What browser are you using?

Thanks

Dear Sajid,

no need to apologize, that's what the beta is for.

I just noticed that the link which should direct to my profile leads to scn.sap.com/profile/<username>, where my user name from the new system probably doesn't exist.

For the other users I am directed to people.sap.com/profile/<username>

I'm using MS Edge btw.

Hi Dominik,

Thank you for reporting this issue to us. We identified the root cause and fixed it. More specific your last "mission" activity generated wrong profile url. If you do some new activity in the beta system (add comment, like something, create a blog post, etc.), the url will be updated automatically and should not get broken again. Also we are going to update existent incorrect records in the database though it may take some time.

Please let me know if the issue is still reproducible,

Best Regards,

Jane

Hi Jane,

yes, just as you expected, for new activity I perform the link is correct now and the old activity still links to the scn profile.
