Hi All,

Recently I wrote a blog on ABAP in Eclipse feather explore which was rejected by moderator due to insufficient content as per the challange.

Then I updated the blog with sufficient information and which is now accepted by moderator.

But despite of accepentance I did not get points which are deducted after rejection.

Regards,

Pravin

Maybe it's just because I'm in a bad mood but, are you refering to this blog here?

In my humble opinion all you write in this blog is "ABAP in eclipse is cool and innovative <insert random business sounding words here>" and that's about it. Just a plain simple opinion without any in-depth information, I have no idea whatsoever how that content could have been approved (Mods move in mysterious ways).

Looking through other bits of your blog-content on SCN, your one ulterior goal seems to be accumulating points with a minimum of effort which I find symptomatic of the SCN-Noise-Stream nowadays. Example: . On the other hand, you provide quality content in discussions/threads even if it's sometimes doing work (providing coding) for people who are obviously too lazy doing their own work, that's your choice, though. I.e. bottom line you know your stuff but cast a cloud over it with blogs like this to game for points and I think that's unfortunate and sad.

Bah, Fiddlesticks!

P.S. Mods are Gods q.e.d.

Hi ,

Yes I am refering the same blog ABAP in Eclipse Feature Explorer

The another blag which you are refering SAP HANA Cloud Portal Movie Critic:Faster access from anywhere on any device. is not up to date.

For this I got suggestion from and I will update that blog with more meaning full content by this weekend as the SAP HANA Cloud Portal 2014 Movie Challenge is till valid November month end.

My aim not to accumulate point , I am here to gain knowledge and share the same.

I have seen many blogs which are appriciated my moderators with random business sounding words.

Much disappointing ...!!

Hi Pravin

Why are you releasing a blog from a draft if it is incomplete? It's great that you want to contribute and we encourage all members to do so. But before writing something and publishing you need to ask yourself if you honestly believe you are adding valuable content to the community. Are you sharing something that is new and of benefit to the community?

Telling us that you just learned something, explaining where you are from and encouraging your colleagues to participate belongs in a Blog if Forward for Facebook update. That was my reaction on your first blog.

Vera is not a Moderator of that space. She is another member who seems to be trying to encourage you to improve your quality.

Rather than be disappointed with lack of points, I would reflect on the feedback you are receiving here and on your blogs so you can your improve content. The reality is 10 points is nothing in the grand scheme of SCN points if you produce quality content. Quality blogs and documents attract 2 points per like and 5 points per 5 star rating. They get shared on LinkedIn and Twitter. They can help build your reputation. But of course, points don't matter to you?

It's great that you want to share - but the blog that you claim needs more work is barely a status update. If you had not completing the onboarding missions it would have gone to auto-moderation queue. It is unlikely the moderator would have approved release of the content.

Again, please take this constructive feedback from members and think how you can improve your quality so you have a better experience and participation in SCN.

Regards

Colleen

to answer your question:

It is technically possible to re-post rejected content - much to the anger of moderators  since they (we) usually think before doing it - good that re-posting of rejected content is not eligible to get positive points.
