Dear All,

I have few questions related to Document and Blog post to be updated in SCN wall,

1. Is the document created must be innovative? or can we post any document related to particular topic in particular SAP module?

2. For blog post, can we share personal experience? or it must be related SAP domain experience?

I am really confused about this, please let me know the solution for this.

regards,

Manjunath

1. There are many forum in SCN (), your document should be in appropriate forum.

Also its depend on your space. Document should be related to this space and should not be a basic concept, should not be any same concept of any other document, should be written by yourself.

You can find all in the Rules of Engagement.

2. Same as previous. You can share your personal experience in your personal blog.

If its related to SAP or SCN, then you can post in proper forum otherwise, I suggest please create your personal blog for your personal experience.

Manjunath,

1. Is the document created must be innovative? or can we post any document related to particular topic in particular SAP module?

In SAP one important way of learning is to analyze existing similar examples, e.g. you are asking about documents and their content (something permitted / not permitted), therefore browse some already created documents in SCN and try to find answers to your questions (is each document innovative? etc. etc.)

During SAP projects, for designing new processes, we can always get lots of information by analyzing existing processes e.g. naming convention of document types, number ranges, basic functions (output, pricing etc. etc.)

Manjunath,

For complicated or difficult words (long, technical etc.) I always prefer simple and understandable substitutes. So that understanding those are easy doesn't put too much load on the brain.

So to try and put simple, understandable answers / comments to your questions -

1. Is the document created must be innovative? or can we post any document related to particular topic in particular SAP module?

It can be any document related to that forum/space.

In the same lines as but with slight difference - You should feel that it will add value e.g. help someone etc. etc.

2. For blog post, can we share personal experience? or it must be related SAP domain experience?

Definition: a blog is a Web page that serves as a publicly accessible personal journal for an individual.

Yes, you can share and you should share personal experiences!

There is a good document on differences between blog and document. And there is also this blog about the blogs.

Either document or blog need to add value for the SCN community. If it's something that has already been posted on SCN or common knowledge, misleading or even just poorly written then it doesn't add any value. Naturally, the blog/document also needs to be relevant to the space where it's been posted.

When in doubt, you might want to contact the moderator for the respective space - you'll find their names on the People tab.
