Exact. A moderator, me, removed a "correct" answer.

Which was given to this answer:

As this could never answer the initial question, marking it as correct cannot be right and is misleading users who search for an answer.

Even you did not get any points for marking your own answer as correct, a moderator action needed for removal reduces automatically 10 points.

I think you should read this blog post carefully

Specially the section Think again before marking your own answer as correct or helpful:

Hi Srinivas

Please note that you original posted this to Careers Space which is incorrect. I have moved your post

You can see high level deductions, etc in your Reputation Tab > Expertise of your profile

Have a look at the tile for

It looks like there was a correct/helpful answer that was removed. Either the person asking the question did this OR a moderator was cleaning up the space and removed the content.

Colleen

P.S. don't worry about the points. Focus on your participation and learning. Points are a side effect of that.

Hi Srinivas,

You may loose points, if someone reported about your comment / reply and it was against SCN rules.

Also if the person who awarded point has removed it (This is very much possible)

Please go through the link below to understand SCN rules
