Hey Guys
Since past few weeks i have been noticing that alot of articles have been deleted from SDN.
I m not really sure if these articles are being archived somewhere or worst just being deleted.
did anybody else noticed this change as well?
below are some of the links i came across, there are other articles as well which have been deleted.
i also mailed "sapnetwork at sap.com" but they have no clue where the articles went;)
Thanx
Aamir
Request clarification before answering.
Earlier I had reported of such an article missing. (An article on RFC lookups by Michal) The same thing happened. SDN admins had no clue of this. Later the article was restored after one of the SDNers gave the downloaded copy of the article.

Hi,

I find these facts kind of disturbing... Data lost and no one knows why. It does not look very professional
I would not have to tell this kind of answer to my employer...
Olivier,
I have a couple of theories:
- Perhaps they just ran of out of disk space and needed to make room for information about powerpoint-ware products.
- The articles were deleted because they showed simple ways of doing things, that did not involve buying the latest software offerings from SAP.
- We discovered the real use of the conflicker virus was to remove content from SCN. The virus author was in fact someone who got really mad after his "do the needful" posts were deleted after the 100th time of posting.
Take care,
Stephen
Guys
Somehow my gut feeling says that the articles are still present on SDN server(s),only their URL has been messed up.
Kinda similar thing is happening to blogs as well.if you search for any blog in advanced search->Blogs then you wont get any hits but if you already know the URL for any blog and just use that, you can easily see it (SDN is aware of this issue though).
Thanx
Aamir
