xRPM- Portfolio field attributes override for item type

Hi

In xRPM product, Field settings are available for Portfolio type (eg:A)..I need to create one item type (eg: B) under one portfolio of Portfolio type A.

Now i want to maintain different field attributes(not the same portfolio type attributes) when item type B and portfolio type A come into the picture. So when A & B come to the picture, New field attributees to be displayed.

Currently in SPRO, SAP xApp Resource and Portfolio Management (SAP xRPM) Global Customizing Portfolio-Dependent Settings--Define Portfolio Types , i can find Portfolio item Overrides in left side of the R/3 page. But whatever i maintain in this node, doesn't have the impact in the portal ( Portfolio Field override only has the impact in portal). Item field(When A & B comes together) override is not suppressing the Portfolio type field overrides.

Kindly help me in this regard.

Hi,

I am not very sure that I am understand the configuration that you have maintained. I do understand your requirement however. In case you think that you have maintained the configuration correctly and as expected and the scenario that you are looking for is not supported through only IMG, then you could try implementing the following exit/badi - /RPM/OBJECT_SERVICES

Through this, you should be able to exactly get the intended behaviour. If this too is not sufficient, then look for where this BADI is being called from and implement an enhancement at the end of the function/method call.
