WWI symbols from text / name

Hi Gurus,

is it possible to use the text or name (red marked in screenshot) from the Report Symbol or from the value assignment type in WWI as a Report Symbol???

If so I could one template for multilingual usage.

For name and text - You have to use Descriptor Symbol - Below are the step hope that will help:

1] Create Phrase - Active Lib. (Usually CUST) Example: Flash-point

2] Search this Phrase - Descriptor

• Report Symbol - EHS_L_TEST
• Phrase Library - CUST
• Phrase Group - XXXXX
• Phrase Text - "Flash-point"

3] Insert this in template.

In order to have such Name/Text use Descriptor Symbols method.

Its one time activity - Also use LSMW method to upload 100 phrases.

Let me know if you need info on LSMW - this is used for mass upload.

Thanks, ist sounds like that what I'm looking for 🙂 but ist means to double the effort because I need to create almost 100 text phrases but the Name/descriptions of Symbols are already in SAP...

the option as explained by Idrees is the standard one; "But" With SAP: anything is possible:

So if you have a "VAT" you have language dependent text for the "VAT". I believe: there is no standard WWI symbol to show the "VAT" text in WWI. But clearly: you can generate such symbol.

But: anybody who I knows use "phrases" as explained by Idrees

PS: e.g. for "Cover Sheet" topic as part of SDS distrbution you can use "phrases" as well.

Phrase are the "core" elements in EHS to handle text in different languages no onyl for WWi but fpr Dangerous Goods etc. etc.

I would like to use the expression/description eg. "Flash Point" or "Pressure" as a Symbol in WWI template... The values behind these Symbols are clear for me, but the NAME/TEXT...

I do not understand your question?

Mark in Red are Specification Type Report Symbol which are used to fetch the data from Property Tree and display on your WWI Template.

What is your requirement ? Do you want to create your own report symbol? Can you please explain more in detail your requirement
