Hi All,
I am trying to generate a SDS report using ' Report from Template' functionality from Specification workbench (CG02)
but the generated report shows only the headers of the section, the data inside is not expanded in the generated report.
Can you please suggest what could be the reason here and what needs to set to resolve this?
Thanks in advance

Ashish

Hi All,
The issue is resolved.
The root cause was the mismatch between the bit version of WWI local installation and the MS word on my system. Both has to be in sync. Either both has to be 32bit or 64bit. We also re-installed the latest release of WWI version in compatibility with bit version of Windows word.
Thanks for your support as well

Ashish

Hi Ashish,
If others are able to generate the SdS , please compare the authorization with that user , you may not have enough authorization to use the specification data to generate the report .
Comapre the user authorizations or use SU53 and share it with authorization team they will provide enough authorizations.

Thanks Satya & Mark,
Actually there is no issue with template or data. Not even for the version of WWI as well. Other colleague is able to generate with the same wwi versions but issue occurs only for some users only.
That's true that label can be viewed in one environment (e.g PRD) but SDS includes are not expanded. where as in another environment (e.g Quality) the neither the labels nor SDS can be can be expanded using ' Report from Template' functionality.

Hello Ashish,
For me, this looks like there is an issue with resolving the WWI include templates - but please check the points Satya suggested as well.
I would suggest generating the report on a WWI generation server and checking the resulting report.
Via TR CGSADM you could check for any errors or warnings during report generation.
If it works via the WWI Server ensure you have the same WWI Version installed localy as on the WWI server.
Hope this helps

Hi Ashish ,
Data output depends on various factors ,
1) Master data in CG02 available for specification ,atleast for the validity area which you are generating a report .
2) which generation Variant you are are using check the against usage of the specification validity area matches with usage of a specification.
3) Check you are using a correct template or not.
