WWI Installation Issue

Hi,

We are implementing WWI Generation Server for our Client

As per the implementation guide(Note 1394553 - EH&S WWI server

installation instructions)

System Details:

Operating system: Window Server 2008 R2

Microsoft Word: Microsoft Word 2010

As a pre-requisites, in the step 4.4.3 DCOM privileges, while

navigating into DCOM configuration in the tree. We are unable to find

neither the entry "Microsoft Word Document" nor "Microsoft Office Word

97 u2013 2003 Document" (any other Word version) available

We have also activated the DCOM is on the PC.

Hi Srinivasa,

MS Word 2010 is supported as of WWI 3.2/2.7b Support Package 23, but SAPGUI 7.20 or higher is required for Word 2010 on the front end. So, please check your front end GUI release information.

See Note 147519 for maintainance strategy and relevant deadlines for SAP GUI releases.

Yes, We are using SAP GUI 7.20 version, but still we are receiving this error.

Hi Srinivas,

Did you have a look at SAP Note [580607|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/580607] as well?

Are you getting one of the errors described there? In your post you don't mention the error that you are getting....

To avoid the DCOM stuff make sure the user under which the WWI service is running is part of the local administrator group....

Hi, Pl refer the note 568302, may be it is useful to you, Also ensure to upgrade to most recent patch of wwi SP 17. try to mention exact error description.
