Dear Team,
From last couple of days, I am facing a Hang or screen stop problem in CG42 transaction code when i am trying to do anything in the template.
I am able to open the template but as soon as i press the button to enter the symbol ( any symbol ) screen goes to hang mode as shown below...
Update is that, we have upgraded the WWI server from SP28 to most recent version SP30. Does that process causing this issue? if so, how to overcome...

Hi Amol,
Did you check the settings of MS Word in the wwi.ini file as there is changes for the Word version also.

Dear Amol
as mentioned by myself: in one of your threads regarding WWI topics: something like this can happen if new WWI is installed. In most cases it is worth to start OSS dialog as (if I understand you right) you are using the recent WWI version. You do not refer to Word version you are using.
May be check these steps:
1.) Can you create a new layout check it and save it?
2.) Can you edit (e.g. add new symbol) the new layout without problem?
etc.
New WWI versions can be not stable. This is one reason to make "regression" tests (more test then less tests !) not only checking behaviour locally (to create layout) but on gen servers as well and in context of GLM labels etc.
C.B.
PS Dear Amol: according to SAP Markeptlace OSS note 1845971 it seems to be that a new WWI version could be available. The SP 30 versions seems to be really new supporting now further Word versions etc. As mentioned: any new SP need to be tested ! on client level, server level, with GLMlabels, using different fonts, using dynamic font sizing etc. Such tests can be painful and time consuming but without that you might get later problemin production.
PPS: oss note 1782458 is quite new as well and may be can help in the futute as well.
