Work area field as a compulsory field

I wanted to know if it is possible to make the work area field compulsory on the Incident Log entry.

Hi Nash,

It is not possible by config. But it can be possible as ABAP work bench change.

I can give you more inputs, how it can be done.

Select Work area field in Incident/Accident Log.

F1 > Technical Information > Douple click on screen Number - 8110

Screen painter will be opened.

click on Layout Button / (Ctrl+F7)

Layout appears.

Double click on the field entry "Work Area"

One more pop-up screen appears.

lower side of the screen you can find attributes with 3 tabs.

Select the Program tab

Field - Input, maintained with the entry "Possible"

If you can change that to "Required".......Work Area field will be a compulsory entry.

All the steps mentioned above should be done in layout change mode. for that you should have an access key. you can contact your technical team for that.
