please check first Help Pages of SAP before you ask a question. The topic you have raised is still discussed (if i remember correct) in some threads.

If i remember correct; in one of the many threads Satya provided the link to the relevant "SAP help pages" there you can find information regarding the data model used for "Dangerous Goods".

The Data model used in the area of "Dangerous Goods" is quite complex but very flexible as well.

Therefore: SAP allows you to use three options for the "DG Filling" part.

And yes: i fully agree to Satya: if you use a list of material numbers you are "on the safe side"

PS: in most cases i know: you prepare the System (full customizing, master data etc.) and the the "DG Fill part" is scheduled as a job (may be twice a day). To fill the "Dangerous Goods master" manually is the "backup option" in case of a "desaster" or issues in the data and therefore issues in the process (here mainly SAP SD).

Hello Tam Tam,

May be you need understand the SAP DG classification and it's assignment to the Real Sub with inheritance and it's assignment to the Material.

You can use any one of these for the DG filling these three options are interlinked in the specification Database. Best way to fill the DG master is using the Material number.
