which SAP_EHS_10* standard VAT fits best for chapter 2.3 in SDS sheet?

Hello daytona80

There is no VAT in SAP standard with the name "other Hazards". (UK)

But you can Other Hazards (GHS) : SAP_EHS_1011_011 with Rating und Validity area.

For EU other Hazards print based on this logic first check what is defined in this VAT SAP_EHS_1017_021 - Assessment PBT for EU, if nothing is defined then check for SAP_EHS_1011_011 Other Hazards (GHS) , if nothing defines then print

i assume we are talking about SDS EU. But if i check your question deeper: you are looking more on "US" or "CA" version?

The issue is: we have to many legislations in game and sometimes per chapter you need to print different informations.

Most of the companies use a "simple" process. they just "buy" a SDS template from the provider and do not think about to create a WWi template from scratch. The SDS template is then aligned to property tree, to content (legal content, phrases, rule sets etc.)

If you would like to set up a template by your own you need:

a.) a legal expert

b.) somebody who knows very well how your company is maintaining data in SAP EHS

c.) Who knows very well which identifiers are present etc. (e.g. story of trade secret in US)

etc.

Then by regulation you have some "legal" quidance (what is a "must" to print) and then in most case you have a "on top" opional part (which is not legally driven)

And you need to understand that SAP is delivering (in most cases by using a support package) a new / updated property tree which reflects to some extent changes in legislation.

So from time to time a review of WWI template is needed any how.,

Any how: normally the SPA property STANDARD tree still have some "region" specific structure. If you buy conent you will get (accordoing to my knowledge) region specific property trees on top which are used in the daily maintance (they represent a subset of STANDARD property tree)

I believe the value assignment types / properties you have listed are a good starting point to start a design of a WWI template

thanks so far. The story behind my question is, that we use a custom propertry tree for our incoming SDS from Provider which already contains for chapter 2, SAP_EHS_1023_043 and SAP_EHS_1023_44 (GHS region based) but chapter 2.3 is still not included so far. So I'm Looking for something which fits best as possible.

"other Hazards" sounds very well… I will check next days.

SAP enhance from time to time the "STANDARD" tree. So the "other Hazard (GHS)" property is one example. I believe we still have VAT "Other Hazards" in the system (without relation to GHS). You will find (if i remember correct´) "similar" VATs in the tree as well. As a guiding principle: "Other Hazard (GHS)" should be used to maintain legal data which is "GHS" driven. But we have (US, CA) local "hazard" principles which are not "GHS" related.

On top: the STANDRAD tree is now since years designed to be more "region" specific.. (region Norht America, South America, EU, ASia Pacific)

Therefore: Step one would/should be: please check: do you use the must current "SP"? If not: you are not using the most up to date "STANDARD" tree. Only if you would buy content (according to my knowledge) you have the "most up to date" STANDARD tree in place

So the first objective (from my point if view) should be to check if you are using the "most up to date" STANDARD tree. If not: you should try to get the tree. If you are not able to do so: then use "Z" classes etc.n(but this is a kind of "work around" only and only the last option to use.

• Disposal

Are you looking for VAT in the Standard Property tree where we can store these information? Is this correct understanding of your questions?
