Hi Partha,

Report symbols are used for WWI reporting in EH&S (for example to generate a MSDS Material Safety Data Sheet).

WWI generates reports based on Microsoft Word Templates. Within these templates you can use the Report Symbols. The Report Symbols allow you to address data either from the specification database (like characteristics in the property tree or identifiers) with symbol type 'specification' or you can insert data from other SAP modules like MM with symbol type 'parameter'.

In the report template you use the report symbol. At runtime when generating the report the data will be inserted into the final report.
