Using Material template during material creation

Hello Experts,

is it possible to create a material with all Views (not only Basic Data 1 and 2, how it is written in Operational Manual) in ECTR according to material template? Because when I use a material template during material creation, the plant is ignored.

Hello Llia,

we have an PLMWUI add on tool, which helps to create Material Master views using template and stage it before activation while using ECTR / NWBC, Just in case you are interested let me know.

Hi Ilia,

this is not possible out of the box. You have to create your Badi implementation, e.g. in /DSCSAG/MATERIAL_01 to implement such a copy function for plant specifc views of your material. In the Badi /DSCSAG/MATERIAL_01 you find several methods like

• MAT_SAVE_BEFORE
• MAT_SAVE_AFTER
• MAT_CHANGE_RFC_BEFORE
• MAT_CHANGE_RFC_AFTER
