User name can not be maintained in Business Partner employee (BUP003)

Hello

I am trying to maintain a SAP User Name for employee in BP. However, due to S4 releases (On Premise and Cloud Edition), user name fields can no longer be maintained for BP type BUP003 employee without using SuccessFactor. We are not planning to usage of SuccessFactor, though we need to maintain user name fields to a BP to fully use the functions in CPM (Commercial Project Management).

If any one knows a solution or alternative for this issue please help me.

Dear Kanta,

the design is explained in SAP note # 2322771. This was a functionality introduced with S/4 as explained there. The only solution is that you modify the SAP standard code.

well you could change the coding back as provided in the coding part of the mentioned note # 2322771. But you need to be aware that this is a modification of SAP standard coding and you might loose the support in case there are any side effects.
