Hi Manish,

Thanks for you reply. But on each link it is mentioned that there is a .zip file to be extracted but i am not able to locate this file on the service.sap.com.I have got the required .sca file (XMIIMIGRATION05_1-10004466.SCA).I have added this file in eps/in folder and has run the go.bat(JSPM) to deply it.The deply was sucessful but not cahnge in XMII 11.5.I was also able to download the JCOLIBS00_0-10004406.SAR and extracted it using sapcar.I got 3 files and have placed them in to the exe folder .Can anyone plz help me on this? Am I going wrong some where ? I am on patch level 14 for my ECC 6.0 and using sql db and win2k3.What else is missing from my end?

Prasad

Simple steps:

1. Download migration sca file from SMP

2. Run SDM on this sca file, which will extract a migration.zip file

3. Find this file buried in the C:/usr/sap.... folder structure

4. Move it to a new directory such as C:/Migrator and unzip it

5. Run the migrate.bat file to launch the java app

***The migration tool has its own guide http://service.sap.com/instguides and in order to migrate the 11.5 content into a 12.0 system you will need the C:/Lighthammer and C:/inetpub directories on the same machine that you run the migrate.bat file.

Isin't 12.0 already installed in your landscape?

Server URL must point to this new server (where you want to migrate the 11.5 stuff)

That is what I said earlier. The server URL points to the 12.0 server. A sample URL - http://<servername>:<port>;

Did you go through the Migration guide? One of the pre requisites is 12.0 is installed in your landscape.

I would strongly urge you to go through the Upgrade guide as Jeremy's mentioned above before you start to migrate.

Hi Everyone,

Can anyone provide me a answer for this

When I start the migration of XMII 11.5 to 12.0 using the migration.bat file it ask for some parameter which are as below:

Configuration :

Server URL: ? (is it http:
localhost\lighthammer\menu.jsp or http://localhost/LHSecurity/admin/ or some thing else)

User name :

Password:

Config Directory :c:\lighthammer\

Web Directory : c:\inetpub\wwwroot\

Please help on priority.

A picture is worth a thousand words: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/d01a44f6-b62f-2b10-8298-b4c5c4e3... (look at page 18 of the upgrade guide).

Are you sure?

But I thought you were installing /running migrate.bat!

I guess you are missing the whole point.

Incase of MII (atleast at this point in time)an Upgrade essentially means installing the new version and if you had 11.5 , migrating its contents over to 12.0.

Hope this makes sense.

Take a look @ the link above, it will help you to decide what is it you want to do.
