Upgrade from ECC5.0 to ECC6.0

Dear Expert,

Currently I am running ECC5.0 (EA_APPL SP14) and use IHS(Atrion) as content (Compliance Engine).  I am planning to upgrade to ECC6.0 EHP7 and will still use IHS as content.  I just wonder is any big difference between those two versions? My company is only using Product Safety.

yes there is big differfence in functionality. The "difference" then depends: do you would like to aktivate Business Functions.. In the are of EHS IHS submoduel. the difference is limited (accordong to my knowledge) I di not know Atrion solution. But why not ask Atrion if you have a valid license to use theier solution (is there anythign special to consider to uphrade..)

For EHS BD, PS etc. The differences are big....

Thank you for your reply.  I will check with Atrion.  I probably won't activate the new functions for now since I only plan for a technical upgrade this time.  As you said, I probably won't see any big difference if  I don't activate new functions.

in any case: there is enough difference between ECC 5 ECC 6. ECC 6.0: to my knowledge: now we have EnhPack 8 in place.

The impact of an upgrade depends on the EHS functionality used so far. If you have used only EHS IHS: the impact is very low. If you have used EHS BD, PS; DG ... IMpact is bigger (even not activating something).
