Hi.
The upgrade from 6.1 source system to target S4 HANA 1809 of Finance and Supply Chain modules was already done a year ago. Now we want to migrate/ convert the PPM (Portfolio and Project Management) module from the 6.1 source system to the target 1809 system. My question is how is this best done? In the SUM tool am I am to select just the PPM config and data tables and then convert it into the new system (after Simplification checks etc.)?
Request clarification before answering.
Actually - sorry Florian, I have my answer - I have since found out that legacy PPM was not on the same system as the legacy ERP, so I can see from note 2669306 no conversion with automatic execution of XPRAs is supported so we have to set up a custom migration project.

Thanks for that Florian
Yes I have read this note and the PPM conversion guide converting into S/4 HANA 1809. We are in the Discovery/ Preparation phase and will be doing the Maintenance Planner, Simplification Checks and Custom Code checks etc. Then we will reach the Realisation part and use SUM. However because I have not used SUM before, I am not clear from the documentation how in SUM one selects the just the PPM component and its configuration and application data from the source system database to convert into the target system database? Is there a screen or something in SUM where one makes the specific selection of just PPM tables? The reason I ask this is because everything else (e.g. Finance, PS etc) was already converted last year for this particular customer. Their PPM was not integrated to PS and so they are only wanting to convert it now into their S/4 Hana live Production system.
