Hello,
Anyone have upgrade from cproject/cfolder 4.5 (Dual Stack) to PPM 5.0?
Java Stack will be removed during upgrade from upgrade tools?
For the minimal landscape, after Upgrade, shall I only install ADS?
I attach the Minimal Landscape from Upgrade Guide but is not clear, what happen to Java Instance after Upgrade.
Best Regards
Mario
Request clarification before answering.
Hi Mario,
ADS is must to be installed in all the landscapes otherwise any adobe forms(Interactive/Offline) present will give a short dump in the system after the upgrade.
Thanks,
Rabi

Thanks Rabi,
I would like to know, if I upgrade to PPM 5.0 o PPM 6.0, if I must split PPM 4.5 dual Stack (ABAP+JAVA) before upgrade.
I suppose that if I upgrade to PPM 5.0 I can mantain ABAP+JAVA installation instead with PPM 6.0 I have to split the ABAP+JAVA source system.
have you experience on upgrade from C-Project 4.5 to PPM 5.0 or PPM 6.0?
Best Regards
Mario
Hi Mario,
Yes you have to split the ABAP + JAVA Source system.
Have to focus on the below points
1)
Upgrading the SAP Portfolio and Project Management ABAP component (CPRXRPM)
The configuration and operational data is automatically transferred from lower releases to SAP Portfolio and Project Management 6.0 logic as part of the upgrade of the SAP Portfolio and Project Management ABAP component.
2) If you are running with KM DM:
Upgrading from cProjects 4.5 If you used the KM document management in SAP xRPM 4.5 or SAP Portfolio and Project Management 5.0 and you still want to use it in SAP Portfolio and Project Management 6.0 Install the SAP Portfolio and Project Management Java component (PPM_KM 503). because there is no new version of PPM_KM for SAP Portfolio and Project Management 6.0.
3) For ADS
ADS can run on a separate server: You can use ADS locally but if you want shared service on a
central then we have to use SAP NetWeaver AS Java.
Thanks,
Rabi
