Updating Ship to Party to Order Address on Service order

Currently in our system, we auto create service order while creating sales order. The ship to Party is updated on Customer Address fields of the service order. The other Address tabs Order and Reference Address are both blank.

However, the customer address cannot be used to do a quick search via IW49N. The system displays no objects even though service order existed with same Customer Address.

SAP confirmed only Address details updated on the Order Address can be used for such search. If you click "maintain object address burton" on the menu of IW33, a message "no individual address was created for this order" is displayed. Similarly, click "maintain partner address burton" on the header address tab and you get same message.

Is the Ship To Party transferred from the sales order to the service order?
