Unknown error detected in Yield Confirmation in DMC

Hi experts,

I have a planned order ( rep manufacturing) sent from ECC to DMC. When I try to report Yield using the quantity confirmation Plugin in a copy of Order POD, I get the message "Unknown error detected" and no yield is registered. When I report Scrap or post a Good Receipt, everything works fine.

When I use routing and BOM sent from ERP, error does not show up. When I use a local Routing ( which is a requirement for my scenario), yield report does not work.

Any ideas where to look. Error message is not helping.

Hello Guillermo,

I suggest you review Planned Order Integration topic and the respective sub-topics in SAP Help.

In Planned Order Integration, you will find:

  • Yield confirmation is sent to the integrated ERP system after an SFC has been completed at the last operation.
  • Scrap confirmation is sent to the integrated ERP system after an SFC has been scrapped.
  • Goods issue posting to the integrated ERP system after operation / phase confirmation (backflush).

In Scrap Confirmation for Planned Orders and Yield Confirmation for Planned Orders, you will find:

  • After downloading a planned order from your integrated ERP system, you release it in the Manage Orders app and start the production using the Work Center POD. When you then complete an SFC in the Work Center POD, this information is communicated to your integrated ERP system, if you've put in place the configuration described below.

All that said, Planned Orders are supposed to be executed in Work Center POD, not in Order POD. Additionally, you don't need to post Yield, Scrap, GI or GR manually, as all this confirmations should be posted automatically once you complete/scrap SFCs in Work Center POD.

Regarding using Local Routings, I suggest you double check Order Processing Mode entry, where it reads:

  • This is applicable only for production orders.

For Local override scenarios, Use Local Routing.

So be aware of that and the fact that using Local Routings might not fully support Planned Orders.

Hope it helps!

Br,

Manoel
