Unit for Quantity Specification in composition is not working

Hallo

I got a problem with the units in the composition of specifications.

When I try to create a new composition I get the following message:

UoM % does not correspond to the dimension of the selected value assgmt

I figured out that the dimension (PROPOR) where the reference quantities (W/W, VOL/VOL) are assigned to is missing in my system. I tried to create the dimension with the IMG "Check Units of Measurement" but I'm not sure which settings to thake to make the whole thing work. Could anyone please give me some advice how to setup the dimensions and the UoM.

thank you really much for the answer.

I finally found the default settings of the SAP EH&S in the Client 000. There is a transaction (SCU0) where you can transfer customizing settings between systems and clients. You have to choose the application component BC-SRV-ASF-UOM.

But it is in this case really important in which language you are logged in when you change the settings of the UoM. In the first place you have to set the UoMs and the dimensions with the logg-in in english. After you created everything you can change to your "normal" language e.g. DE and change the text as you like.

So my settings are:

Dimension PROPOR

Important: Luminosity hast to be 10

UoMs relating to the dimension PROPOR

1 ONE (this one is really important it has to be the int. meas. unit 1)

% percent

%0 promille

ppb parts per billion

ppm parts per million

ppt parts per trillion

after you created the UoMs and assigned it to the dimension you have to declare the SI-Unit for this dimension.

For PROPOR it has to be the 1 ONE UoM.

There are two other Dimensions as decribed by Mr. Bergemann. MPROPOR and VPROPOR.

You can find the default settings in the client 000 of your SAP System.
