Unable to query unsolicited tag value at a given time, if its not when the value actually changed

Hi Community

I have a batch tag which is an unsolicited tag.

The batch tag is set before the start of the batch

I need to query the batch tag value at the point when batch starts. I will also need to query for batches that have run in the past. Hence cannot use the current option.

Any idea how I can query this.

You have not described your environment very well. Where is the tag generated? Is there a historian in the loop? What kind of historian? Why not use a notification or notifications?

As Mike has pointed out you haven’t given enough information regarding your setup, for example what source system are you using?

However, since you mentioned that it’s unsolicited then by definition you can’t query it. Why not use a notification to write the value to an MDO to persist the data then query it from there?
