Unable to open BLS

Hi

We recently installed xMII SR1on Windows 2003 server with JDK 1.4.2_07.

Installation went well without any error messages.

When we try to open BLS, an error in Jawa Web start Window pops up

"Unable to open xMII"

"Unexpected exception: java.lang.NullPointerException"

The Java web start settings are done properly, cache cleared.

The IUSERS have been given proper rights over Lighthammer diectory

Still the problem is persisting.

Any experience kindly share

Bypass the proxy settings in IE. This has worked for me in the past.

I'm having the exact same issue. I'm trying to install xMII on a virtual machine. I installed xMII 11.5 SR1 along with patch xMII01_1-10003422

On starting BLS editor, I get the same Java error. Proxy is set to 'None'. I was using Java 1.4.2_07. On seeing this post, I tried 1.4.2_13 and I'm still getting the same error

I tried clearing cache as well.

Did you follow SAP Note 1030041 for the Java upgrade procedure on the xMII server?

try installing another version of JDK. In few cases, it solves the problem !!
