Unable to find OPC UA tags in SAP PCo system

Dear Experts,

We are using SAP UA Source system. We are able to successfully configure this source system in SAP PCo.

While trying to add tags under subscription item, Not able to browse the tags from WinCC folder.

We have configured the same OPC UA server in Matrikon OPC UA Explorer, And tried to find the tags. It is working fine and able to see the tags and its associated values.

Can you please give some suggestions to debug this issue.

Hi Surender,

Please check the following:

For the OPCUA Source system, Security tab, click on Validation Options button and check these settings:

In the Certificate Storage section, click on the Open Folder icon in Store for Trusted Server Certificates section, then navigate to C:\ProgramData\SAP\PCo\CertificateStores\RejectedCertificates\certs. If there are any certificate files in this folder, copy the certificate files to C:\ProgramData\SAP\PCo\CertificateStores\TrustedCertificates\certs.

Also, please review the help documentation for the PCo OPC UA Source System.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your response. I have made all the corrections under security tab. But still the issue persists. Like to add some more details on this issue.

We are using Siemens WinCC 16 Professional OPC server.

As recommended, I have generated a new certificate under 'Application Certificate' section and Maintained required settings under 'Validation Options'.

Under 'Structures' tab, When I browse for OPC UA structures, I am able to see the WinCC Server along with the OPC tags.

But when it comes for Notification, I try to find the tags under WinCC and no any data visibility.

Kindly let us know if there is any way to debug this issue.

Hi Surender,

Are you using the latest PCo Version and Patch available from SAP?

For PCo 15.5 latest is SP4 Patch 25

For PCo 15.5 latest is SP3 Patch 44

For PCo 15.3 latest is SP2 Patch 56

If not, recommend you upgrade to the latest SP Patch for your version, or upgrade your current version to 15.5 SP4 Patch 25.
