Hi,
1.MII Server is in GMT timezone
2.UDS Server is in CST Timezone
3.Historian is in CST TimeZone.
I have used the Tag Query to get the Data from Historian from 2009-Aug-01 6:00 to 2009-Aug-01 7:00. And the results are like this
DateTime TagValue
2009-Aug-01 06:00:00 123.32
2009-Aug-01 06:00:01 153.21
2009-Aug-01 06:02:00 234.12
.......
..........
............
But when i compared this data with the actual data i received from Plant engineers, i found that this is actually the data from 2009-Aug-01 1:00 to 2009-Aug-01 2:00 on Historian(which is in CST timezone).
My question is: As i am not passing the TimeZone in the Start and End Dates in Tag Query, i should actually get the data from 06:00 to 07:00(CST) instead of 01:00 to 02:00(CST)
Am i wrong with this assumption?.
Thanks,
Gowtham K.

Hi,
Please check the note 1130390 which said The xMII UDS must be in the same timezone as the back end server as well as the xMII Server/xMII Virtual Server.
Hope it's helpful.

MII was designed to be close to the data source. MII also has a peer to peer communication scheme that is secure, fast, and firewall friendly (which is set up via what is called "Virtual Connectors"). If you put an MII node at the data source site, you can set up a connector through the peer to peer communication. Each virtual connector has a time zone offset so that you can query the remote data source in your local time, and the time zone calculation is done for you.
