Track Employee Issued Equipment

Dear All

Can we  track employee issued equipment including office equipment such as phones, and operational equipment such as toolboxes and PPE in SAP EHSM?

Hi Sri,

Interestingly, I have 3 answers for you

• Technically - Yes, it is possible. In fact, through custom world you can possibly do many fancy things which most of the client insist
• Theoretically - Yes, it should be done as Safety In-charge would count his/her pain for tracking the released PPE's and fulfilling the internal auditing requirements
• Practically - It should be AVOIDED, as it would dilute the purpose of EHS management systems, whose purpose should be identifying and monitoring the PPE compliance and not it's issuance. A seasoned consultant would advise the client to not think issuance in EHS; it can be better thought of in MM/WM.
