Dear MES Community,

in our production we have backflushing operations based on batches. We are using the

  • - SAP ME Version: Base 15.4.0.20 Counter 202202081311
  • - Standard Work Center POD Touch
  • - Routings consists of one operation (last reporting step)
  • - Incidents have been tested with non-relaxed and relaxed routings, same results occur

-

Issue:

The assembled quantity will not always be correctly/ fully transmitted to the ERP which leads to wrong batch backflushing/ stocks etc. for this operation.

When tested in other routings that have more than one operation, if the full amount is not backflushed in the reporting operation, the rest of the amount will be backflushed in the following operation which leads to wrong booking or in case of scraping the order in the first operation, the backflushing will be not fully executed.

Step to Step guidance to reproduce this issue:

Test Scenario 1

  • Open POD – Work Center Touch
  • Start a new production order with Quantity 160000 (Activity PR500)
  • Assembly 1 part of the SFC
    • Material 379610 --> 2 (Correctly and completely posted)
    • Material 111400--> 0.01 (Correct and completely posted)
  • Confirm 1 part as yield
  • Go to MII Queue and check XML, see in the Attachment with Name StdTest2_Yield1.XML
  • Assembly 1000 parts of the SFC
    • Material 379610 --> QTY 12.5 (missing 1987.5 pcs)
    • Material 111400--> QTY 0.063 (missing 9.937 KG)
  • Log NC 1000 parts with special routing scrap and auto split,
  • Go to MII Queue and check XML, see in the Attachment with Name StdTest2_Scrap1.XML
  • Assembly 158999 parts of the SFC
    • Material 379610 --> QTY 317998.013 (missing 1987.487 Stk)
    • Material 111400--> QTY 1589.99 (missing 9.937 KG)
  • Confirm the 158999 parts as yield
  • Go to MII Queue and check XML
  • Check the sums of the XML

Open Questions

  • - It is possible to execute the backflushing only in the confirming operation?
  • - How does the logic work?
  • - How are the good movements correlated?

Thank you for your support

Best regards
