Sybase ASE: How to get the Host ID to install the license on a new server

Hello,

In 2011 Sybase ASE was installed on a server which is now failing.

My question is: we have to install a license file on a new server and in order to achieve this we must obtain a hots ID for the new server.

My question is: how to do that ?

Hello we have how to do it and how to generate a licence file.

We have copied the licence file on the server changing the name into Sybase.lic but there is also an other licence file on the server named SYBASE_ASE_DE.lic.

So we tried to start the ASE service and here is what we got in the log
