Summated Rating Method - Risk Assessment

Hi All

This time my query is regarding risk assessment through summated rating method. i tried to do risk assessment with summated rating but i am stuck . i will try to explain the what i understood after reading the help.sap document and also the settings i have done in the system.

Summated rating is done usually for agents which are made of combination with other agents. we analyse the  agents individually with measurement method and do a summated rating of the combination.Summated rating is important,as individual agents they don't pose any risk but as a combination they can pose threat to humans and environment.

As a prerequisites the individual agents must present in the exposure profile of the concerned Work area

In SPRO,the following settings were made:-

1. In customizing  IHS -Risk Assessment - Analysis method - Assign analysis method to agent types

         Assigned Summated rating method to the agent type for which i was planning to do risk assessment.

   2.  In customizing  IHS -Risk Assessment  - Specify Exposure Rating

        Rating category SUC (Summated rating) assigned to each rating

        A threshold is specified for each rating.

  3. In customizing  IHS - Risk Assessment - Specify Measurement items

       Measured value/Reference value category

       Amount category

       Assign Agent types

       Determine Measurement Items

4. In Basis data & tools checked whether the following function module's  are maintained

CBIH_LB43_UE_MSMNT_FIND

CBIH_LB12_USEX_HAZ_GET_EPLIMIT

CBIH_LB31_COMPUTE_RATING

CBIH_LB42_UE_SCRAT_COMP

5. Checked environment parameter IHS_ERQT_ANLS_ESTCAT with parameter value EHS_SAP_1012_004

Now in the front end i tried to do steps which is mentioned in the  document but got stuck in between.

• I created 3 agents ( X,Y,Z) in CBIH92 ,where one agent (X) is the composition of other two agents (Y&Z) .
• In the property tree of Agent "X", i tried to maintain the VAT hazardous ingredients (EHS_SAP_1012_004),but system is not allowing me to as its giving an error message as Enter a component type first Message no. C$305 Diagnosis You need to assign a value assignment item to this component type.

Because of this error i amn't able to move ahead,please let me know how  to rectify it and are there any more settings to be done in SPRO or front end.

Hi John,

what i understood from your query is, you are facing with an error message, which is not allowing you to go further.

The error message is not at all relevant to other steps you followed.

you can just focus on 2 config objects to close this error.

As you mentioned

always, the standard VAT's starts with SAP_EHS_XXXX_XXX" like that.

and the correct one your are looking is "SAP_EHS_1012_004", for hazard ingredients.

you confused and entered in the other way EHS_SAP..............

change the value and as specified and continue further.
