storage permit -emission control how sap can handle in sap ehs or ehsm

hello Guys ,

Does anyone has any idea how we can handle storage permit . I know Environmental compliance 3.0 uses some permit stuffs to handle that scenario . IS sap planning to introduce environmental management to handle permit things in CE 6.0 ?  Looks like EC is seperate and standalone system . My client is looking for sth in component extension and I am sure upto 4.0 there is no any solution . What about eerm new release component in ehsm ? any idea ? let me know if I should provide details .

coming back to your demand: handle storage permit

Only some "thoughts" about this topic:

a:) if you create a chemical factory you need to take care about a lot of regulations; in doing so in many cases you get "permissions" to sotore some kind or chemical in e.g. storage location a but not b.

This kind of demand is supported in SAP EHS HSM (if you use SAP WM or SAP eWM)

I am not sure if really Environmental Compliance Solution supporting this (but may be check SAP Environmental Compliance 3.0 – SAP Help Portal Page);

b.) on top you can use SAP EHS HSM to define your "own" rules" (knowne.g. as "Store together" rules ("nearly" the same as what happens during "transport".)

On top a lot of "special" legislations exits which can be "managed" using EHS/EHSM (as e.g. Seveso and similar regulations).

looks like ehsm 6.0 can handle permit but I did not see anything in 5.0 as of now .I know ec handles permit but I was looking from ehsm component extension point of view .

The EHSM 6.0 planned features can be found in the roadmaps that are published on SAP Service Marketplace. These are high level, but provide some insight into the planned innovations. There are disclaimers that you have to read and accept, so I cannot just copy the information here. But please do look at the roadmap. You'll find this part under the LOB Sustainability.

Could you describe the requirement in a little more detail? What do you mean by storage permit and what business processes need to be performed?

anything what is known (in SCN) about EHSM 6.0 is shown here:

I have "heard" and "understood" that EHMS 6.0 is the next step to "integrate" old solutions in the new framework, One old solution is "Environmental compliance 3.0"

So may be: check SAP Marketplace to get some insight in the new features as available (if you are willing to participate in ramp up; if you are not willigin to do so; you need to wait untikl the new version is released generally (which can be expected in most cases in 4 quarter this year)
