Status synchronization from PPM project to PS project

Hi,

The scneario is that we have PPM on S/4 HANA 1809 on premise and PS on seperate ECC box.

I need to synchronize the status (system as well as user status ) from PPM project to PS project . Is there any out of box function available to achieve the same using customizing or I should develop the interface between the two? Any documents in regards to the same would be helpful.

Hi Kanishk,

The status sync between PPM item or cProject to PS can be achieved using DFM.

You can maintain the settings in the PPM customizing.

Please refer to SAP help on PPM to get the details..

Hi Sammar,

The accounitng tab is activated by which I can manually assign the Proj definition and WBS elements in PPM from PS. But I am not able to automatically create the WBS and Proj Defintion from PPM on status 'To assign'. Thanks for your reply.

once you release and flag for transfer to PS from cprojects, the phase/task will be created as WBS in PS with status REL, and once you do TECO at Task in PPM , the same will be done in WBS as well..

No need for you to create DFM for this..

Hi Sammar,

For DFM, I am able to find status synchronization for Portfolio Item to PS project as well as to Projects in PPM but not from PPM project to PS.

Can we maintain the status synchronization for integrating status from PPM Projects to PS Projects as well?

Please suggest.
