Spool printer for GLM

Hello all,

I set up spool printer in Development and i can print my labels in Dev sytem via spool print but i didnt see the option of Spool print in Q system.

Any one face this issue before?

And one more topic if i maintain label size in MM for label data i can't able to see label tree in cbgl_mp01 but when i maintain generation variant i can see. I require to maintain only label size not Gen varaint.

I have to maintain application object in gen variant as Material master for this ?

Hello

you are a little bit lost in GLM area (and how the process is designed)

1.) please read SAP online help; many of your topics are addressed there (but you need "only" to find the right place to look at)

2.) please check blogs as: WWI for beginner, WWI for experts etc

This is a "very" short story:

1.) you prepare a WWI layout

2.) you define a generation variant. In most cases: you need application "SUBMASTER", "MATMASTER" and the "Label" application to support the process (Determination process of Label in "Label Tree print transaction"

3.) You generate (in most cases) a released report

4.) you maintain the "Label View" on Material

5:) and you prepare many other steps which are required in GLM process (e.g. LABELSTOCK etc.)

Overall: in this process there are some "pitfalls". Therefore: In Label Transaction you might not get displayed the "wished/expected" label

For: " set up spool printer in Development" => I believe this is part of "GLMPlus" and to use GLM Plus you must activate a business function., May be the business functio nis not activated in "qual" or some "adterwork" is not done

Hello CB,

The BC set is activated and i can see the option of assign spool print in DEV not in Quality , BC set will be activated in 000 client.

And my client is using Ehp 5 now not glm+ , Spool finction is availbel in Ehp5 also.

Hello

try this: in dev you have the activity. If you are in the activity: this is simple a "customizing action". and per action we have one table. Check which table is effected. Then log on in qual and use transaction se11 if the same table exists.

If the tabel exists: something is wrong on "qual" with this activity. GLM+is availbale as "downgrade".

So even in EnhPack 5 (if you have the right support package) you can use GLMplus

We are using ,

SAP enhancement package 5 level 0004 SAPKH60504 (EA-APPL 605) and there is no BC set activated LOG_EHS_GLM_CI_4.

But i can print through spool print, i cant find ANY TABLE for this Assign SAP Spool Printer. Can you please suggest on this.

get in touch with an "ABAPer". He can check which table is related to this customizing activity in dev systeem and then check if same table exists in qual system.

I got the solution like CBGL_CS02 is directly creating customizing entry for spool, I never know this.
