Hi
In CG02 Display Specification Header Data
There are 2 labels next to Specification Numbers at top.
One label is for ID Type INDEX and other probably for something else.
Can we configure this to show any other ID Type?
if yes what would be the configuration?
Thanks and regards,
Niketan Maral

Hi,
I am talking about Identifiers in Header Data, as attached in picture , I can see INDEX identifier populated, I want to use different identifier there.
I replaced INDEX from D_DEFAULT but still it is showing INDEX value in this area.
123-456-78-6 is value of INDEX but I want that box to display different identifier value.
Hope this explains.
Thanks and regards

Hi Niketan,
this is based on the definition of an ID-Listing. The one you are talking about is, I believe, D_DEFAULT. Change its definition and you will get other identifiers shown.

Dear Niketan
I believe you are takling not about to create a "new" identification type or category. I believe you are talking about a so called "identification listing"
E.g. In CG02 header,, reference, inheritance and at many other places you need to maintain (or see) specification keys. These keys are in daily business "useless" from user perspectice. We are talking in most cases about "chemistry" And chemistry you can describe by using "numbers" and "names."
The "INDEX" (number/name) is such an example. You can influence these listings.

Hi Niketan,
Yes you can do ID type configuration from SPRO->EHS->BDT->SPECIFICATION MANAGMENT->SPECIFICATION MASTER->IDENTIFICATION TYPES
But the thing is you have to ID category also for which your going to create.
Thanks
